While looking at Australia weather it is important to note that Australia is an island located in the southern hemisphere. First the location of Australia makes the timing of seasons different from seasons in Europe and other continents in the northern hemisphere. Secondly Australia can have pleasant, costal weather but have harsh inland weather due to the regulatory effect of the Indian Ocean. Australia experiences all the four seasons annually with little change in the patterns.

The climatic conditions of Australia can be termed as arid or semi-arid area since it receives very little rainfall compared to other continents and land masses. The weather in Australia is not uniform across the continent there are variations due to the vastness of the area. For example Queens land can be experiencing scorching summers and mild winters while Victoria may be having mild summers and extremely cold winters.
